This should be an interesting post- computer is down so I’m using the iPhone plus severe tendinitis in one hand/arm. This post may take three days to complete!
Life has been busy with Sale-A-Bration, birthdays and doctors’ appointments for Isabel so I’m very behind on my posts for recent projects. I never even shared Valentines! Oh well, time to move forward.
Isabel’s fashion theme birthday was a huge success- the girls loved taking apart old dresses and turning them into something new.
Our cake was inspired by one of those tomato shaped pin cushions and the Pattern Pieces stamp set. On the base of the cake, I outlined the pattern pieces like the stamp. We put our pin cushion on top. The pattern piece numbers all relates to Isabel’s 12th birthday (date, age, etc). The giant straight pins are cake pops. To make a cake pop, bake a cake as you would normally then break it apart and mix with frosting. Form your mixture into balls and refrigerate for several hours. Dip in melted chocolates. Yum!
Our party favors were little purses made with the Sweet Stitches DSP, assorted Brights cardstock, assorted Stampin’ Up! Brads (who can pick just one?), Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, and the Fancy Favor die cut. I used the DSP to create the purse flap. To add a little bling, I used a bit of Taffeta ribbon, a soda can tab and a Basic Rhinestone along the bottom front of each purse. The girls loved this.
And that was our Sew Suite Party!
God bless and Happy Stampin’!
