Things have been interesting in the Lawson home the last few weeks.  First, Tessa broke her arm during kickball at school.  She has a buckle fracture and will be in a brace until March 22.  And yesterday, Liam had his tonsils and adenoids removed.  Two kiddos not feeling 100% so some Get Well cards were in order.

I decided to use the Patterned Occasions set and Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button set from the Sale-A-Bration offerings.  Along with some other sets, I came up with two Get Well cards for two great kids.

For Tessa’s Card, I used the Elephant image from Patterned Occasions.  I applied the ink with markers and left off the sentiment (thanks a ton!) so I could add the “BIG {HUG}” sentiment from a retired hostess set.  Other supplies you will need to make this card include:

  • Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder
  • Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper
  • Whisper White and Calypso Coral Cardstock
  • Stampin’ Write Markers

Tessa and I had already planned to make cards for Liam’s upcoming surgery before she broke her arm so she had to do some one armed stampin’ when she made cards for Liam.  She was living up to her motto, “Stampin’ Girls Don’t Quit!”  Holds true even when you have your arm in a brace and a sling!

I really like the Patterned Occasions set from the Sale-A-Bration choices.  It was one of the first ones that I selected.  The variety of images cover multiple occasions and can easily be adapted.

For Liam, I used the bandaid/get well image from Patterned Occasions.  Seemed like a good choice for a get well card.  I added a little Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the heart in the center of the bandage.

The other supplies you will need to make this card are:

  • Pacific Point, Whisper White, and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
  • Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper
  • Stampin’ Write Markers

Both Liam and Tessa enjoyed their cards.  Liam asked me if he would get more “feel better” cards while he recovers.  I think I can deliver on that.

God Bless and Happy Stampin’!
